youth leaders want youth center construction contract terminated.
Kabarole youth have asked Kabarole
district local leaders to effect the termination of the contract for the
construction of the youth center.
Basiima Ronald Hidden Akiiki the
Kabarole youth chairman observed that they received 300.000 shillings from the
office of the prime minister under presidential pledge for the construction of
the youth center for Kabarole.
The contract was awarded to Cornerstone
Construction Company on 6th September 2013 and was supposed to be
accomplished on 2nd April 2013; their disappointment the three
months contact has spent seven months.
Speaking to the media after the
sight meeting held at Booma, Basiima said that despite the contract has been
delayed they have produced shoddy work on the walls, roof among others.

The chair said that he is going to
petition the office of the prime minister to send an auditor to evaluate value
for money and also issue a termination of the contract.
Kayondo Gilbert a youth leader said
that some leaders are conniving with the contractor to eat money the work is
not done.
He adds that under the presidential
pledge a hydro form machine was received but its rotting the district store
because they lack a house where to keep it.
